Apple iPhone XR Was the Top-Selling Smartphone in the US during Q2 2019

A survey by CIRP (Consumer Intelligence Research Partners) found that the iPhone XR is still selling more than any other smartphone in the US market during the second quarter of this year.

Despite the success of the XR, the report states that not everything is pink. The relatively low price of the iPhone XR will reduce the average selling price to $ 800 if the trend continues.

During the previous quarter, higher storage levels increased the average sale price. In comparison, storage updates for the first quarter of last year accounted for 33% of total sales, while the first quarter of 2019 saw an increase of 38%. In this case, the ASP could exceed $ 800.

However, service revenues seem to be quite stable. Nearly half of iPhone buyers in the United States have opted for paid iCloud services and approximately 21% are paying for Apple Music and 13% use iTunes music service. AppleCare, on the other hand, is not as popular.
